Information for Presenters

We are accepting proposals for workshop sessions for the "Collaborative Conference on Safety, Permanency and Well-Being" component of the Summit.

Summit dates:
June 3-5, 2008

Location:
Keystone Resort and Conference Center, Keystone, CO

Workshop length:
90 minutes

Workshop size:
40 - 60 people

Audiovisual:
A full range of audiovisual equipment will be available. Laptop computers will not be provided.

Expenses and honoraria:
Presenters will receive complimentary conference registration plus travel-related expenses and lodging, if they live outside the Keystone area. Honoraria may be provided at the discretion of the conference planning committee.

Submission Deadline:
3 p.m. (MST) on Friday, November 28, 2008.


About the Audience

The majority of participants for this component of the Summit will be employees of the Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Welfare and its county departments of social services and human services. They will include caseworkers, supervisors, and administrators who are responsible for child protection, foster care, and adoption. In addition, we expect many judges and magistrates who hear child and family cases as well as attorneys who represent children, parents or the agency,

Other participants include foster parents, service providers, and representatives of agencies that work with substance abuse, juvenile corrections and mental health services.
